Sun 17 - Fri 22 July 2016 Rome, Italy

The Curry On party will be held on Monday July 18 at 7:30 pm in an exceptional venue: the balcony of the Trajan's Market, a unique archaeological complex nestled against the excavated flank of the Quirinal Hill, in the very heart of the Eternal City. The Market was an integral part of the greatest and most famous of the Forums. It was probably built in 100-110 AD by Apollodorus of Damascus, an architect who always followed Trajan in his adventures.

The complex presents a glimpse at the continuing restoration in the city, which reveals new treasures and insights about Ancient Roman architecture. Thought to be the world's oldest shopping mall, the arcades in Trajan's Market are now believed by many to be administrative offices for Emperor Trajan.

The party will be hosted along the ancient Via Biberatica (from the Latin bibere, meaning "to drink"), a stone-paved road that cuts through Trajan's Market. The road was the location for several of the Roman taverns and grocers' shops in the area.

Thanks to the invaluable cooperation of the Musei dei Fori Imperiali the party includes free access to the entire archaeological site.
