A Study of Simulation Framework based on Colored Petri Nets for Context-Oriented Technologies
The poster discusses a simulation framework for context-oriented technology based on Colored Petri Nets (CP-nets). We have proposed an idea of context-oriented methodology called RT-COM for multi-purpose service robot developments. In context-oriented technology, the most important issues are how to organize layers and to detect layer-interaction problems. To accomplish these issues, we have focused on states of each layer. Accordingly, our methodology contains an OS-like mechanism for controlling layers. In the simulation framework, we show a CP-nets including the mechanism. The features of CP-nets are colored tokens and hierarchies. We consider that those features are suitable for modeling and simulating context-oriented programs. To illustrate the simulation framework, the CP-nets tool simulates a layer-interaction problem for an automatic cleaner robot.
