While I am happy to be back home in Indiana, I wish ECOOP could have lasted for another week. During my time at ECOOP I talked with other researchers about my research, and listened to talks about others’ research. I learned new benchmarking techniques that will improve my current research, learned about technologies that gave me ideas for future research, and made new contacts that will be important throughout my career in research. None of this would have been possible without the support of the NSF who funded my travel. I am very grateful for this opportunity and aim to use this experience to improve the quality of my research and the discourse that I can offer the programming languages research community.
